Mini-Splits & Add-Ons the way our technicians do it
A mini-split is the right answer when the main system was never sized to reach a space — a garage conversion, a sunroom, a bonus room at the end of an impossible duct run. Extending ductwork to those spaces frequently costs more and works less well than putting a dedicated system in the room.
Installation quality is what separates a mini-split that runs quietly for fifteen years from one that leaks refrigerant in three. Line set flares, vacuum depth and correct charge are not visible once it is on the wall, which is exactly why they get skipped.

FAQ
Questions owners ask about mini-splits & add-ons
What rooms are mini-splits good for?
Anywhere the main system was never sized to reach: bonus rooms over garages, sunrooms, finished basements, garages and workshops, additions, and the one bedroom that is always the wrong temperature. They heat as well as cool, they are far more efficient than a window unit, and they do not touch the existing ductwork.
Are mini-splits noisy or ugly?
The indoor unit is quieter than a refrigerator, and the outdoor unit is smaller and quieter than a conventional condenser. The wall-mounted head is the part people worry about; ceiling cassettes and slim ducted units exist for rooms where a visible unit will not do, at a higher cost. The lines run in a cover that can be painted to match the wall.
