Ductwork & Air Quality the way our technicians do it
A great many Middle Tennessee homes lose a meaningful share of their conditioned air before it reaches a register, because flex duct is sagging in an unconditioned crawl space or an attic. Sealing and supporting it properly is usually the cheapest comfort improvement available, and it costs a fraction of a system upgrade.
The bonus room over the garage is the standard regional complaint, and it is almost always a duct problem rather than an equipment problem. The run is too long, too small, or has no return, and no amount of new equipment at the other end of it will fix that.

Furnace Not Turning On, or Lighting and Then Quitting

FAQ
Questions owners ask about ductwork & air quality
Why does one room never get cool or warm?
Usually the ducts. A crushed or disconnected run in the attic, a damper that has closed, a leaky trunk losing air before it reaches the room, or a duct that was never sized for that room in the first place. Sometimes it is the room — a west-facing wall of glass or an uninsulated bonus room over the garage — and then the answer is a mini-split or an insulation fix rather than more duct.
Is duct sealing worth doing?
In a Middle Tennessee house with ducts in the attic, often yes. Leaky ducts in a 130°F attic lose a real share of the air the system is paying to cool, and they pull dust and humidity into the system. Sealing with mastic at the joints and boots is straightforward; a duct test before and after shows exactly what it bought.
